2. What we collect
- Account data — name and email address you provide when you create an account or buy a license.
- Billing data — the information needed to process a purchase and issue an invoice. Card details are handled by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.
- License & usage data — the domain a license is activated on, activation status, and similar technical records needed to run the licensing system.
- Technical data — basic request information (such as IP address and browser type) kept for security and troubleshooting.
- Support messages — the content of emails you send us.
3. Why we use it
- To provide and maintain the product and your license.
- To process payments and send invoices.
- To respond to your questions and provide support.
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
- To send essential service messages (for example, about your license or account).
4. Legal basis
Depending on the situation, we rely on the performance of our contract with you (to deliver the product and license), our legitimate interest (to keep the service secure and improve it), our legal obligations (for example, tax and accounting), and your consent where it is required.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the product, and only as far as needed:
- Payments — Lemon Squeezy, our payment provider and Merchant of Record, handles checkout, payment data, and invoicing.
- Hosting and infrastructure — the providers that host the website and the licensing service.
- Email delivery — the provider we use to send account and support emails.
We may also disclose data where the law requires it.
6. How long we keep it
We keep personal data for as long as your account or license is active, and afterwards only as long as needed for legal, accounting, and security reasons — for example, invoices and related records are kept for the period required by tax law.
7. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and you can object to certain uses. To exercise any of these, write to hello@ceranimus.com. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
8. International transfers
Some of our providers — including Lemon Squeezy, which is based in the United States — may process data outside your region. Where that happens, we rely on the legal safeguards those providers have in place, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses, to keep your data protected to a comparable standard.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep the risk low and to respond quickly if something goes wrong.

We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page.
